From San Diego, California: Take I-8 to Yuma, exit #2 East 16th Street/US Highway 95 North (to Quartzite, Arizona), and travel north 15.5 miles. You will parallel the railroad tracks on your right, you will cross a canal (It's not the river), just past that, be looking for the Gila River (look for a small sign on the right, as you approach the bridge, it will say, "Gila River"). After crossing the bridge about 100 yards on the right there is Mile Post 39 (go directly left of it). Just after you complete crossing the river bridge, on the left, there is a dirt road (go approximately 400 yards, turn left on an asphalt road). Follow that dirt road (please drive slow, people live on that road) for about 400 yards and it will take you to a paved road. Turn left and within less than a quarter of a mile you will come upon the Adair Park Ranges Complex. This road takes you past an archery range, skeet and trap range, black powder range, silhouette range, and a model airplane park. Just past the model airplane park you will come to a sharp curve (be very careful as it is covered by trees and someone could be coming around the curve or out of a side road which will take you to the Big Bore Range on the right). That's us! You will see the 1,000 yard line as it borders the road. There are two roads going parallel to the whole range; one down the middle of the range and one on the right side of the range. We usually meet at the berm in front of the targets and impact area for signing up and squadding. There should also be a red and yellow range flag or several range flags flying. These flags are usually put up first.
From Phoenix, Arizona or Los Angeles, California: take I-10 to Quartzite, Arizona and use Exit #17 or #19 to US 95 South, then travel south 64.5 miles. Heed this warning: there are no services between Quartzite and Yuma! Turn right at the Adair Range sign just after Milepost 40. if you mistakenly cross the Gila River Bridge (at Milepost 39) turn back around (Carefully!). across from the Milepost 39 in a field just off of a dirt road. Take the dirt road which ends about 400 yards onto a hardtop road, near a manufactured home. Go left on the hardtop road. You will come upon the ranges in approximately a quarter of a mile or less. You will pass several other ranges on the right, just as you pass the model airplane area you will go around a curve obscured by some Tamerisk trees. Please go slow, our range road is just within a 100 yards after the trees and on the curve. There are 2 roads coming off of the range, on the right, you can take either one (one goes down the side of the range and the other goes down the middle of the range to the pits/butts and the impact area. You should see range flags posted all along the range. These will indicate we are up and running. Go to where you should be able to see other vehicles. Normally, we meet in front of the berm in front of the targets to sign up.
